I Can’t Believe it's Not Butter

Resuming class today, Ben and I presented our proposed research projects. Afterwards, the other students and Dr. Jefferis provided us with thought provoking questions and advice. While the questioning period lasted only a few minutes for each, both Ben and I walked away with insights that would allow us to tremendously improve our projects.

Following in the tradition of students before us, we later attended an afternoon “Welcome Tea” hosted by Hertford College. It felt a little more than an afternoon tea as we sat down to a table full of scones, sandwiches, and small desserts. They took time to introduce us to clotted cream, a very English product often added to scones. While one could be forgiven on first glance for thinking it was butter, Nathalie would have been sure to remind us that it's indeed not butter. Overall, we enjoyed our welcome tea immensely.

Beautiful Hertford College.
