And So It Begins!

Hello everyone! As you can see by reading my profile to the right, I am a student at Regent University who is taking advantage of one of Regent’s amazing study abroad programs. A few years ago I had a day layover in London, which I capitalized on by spending it in the city. While it was an amazing day, I nevertheless knew I would have to return to fully experience it. So when I had some friends last year go to Oxford with Regent, I knew it was something that I wanted to do. And now in less than 24 hours, I will be on a plane heading towards Oxford!

While this trip may start in less than 24 hours, the Oxford program started for me over 8 weeks ago. Over the past weeks, I have been doing a tremendous amount of reading in preparation for the classes I will be taking over there: Islam & European Political and Anglo-American Constitutionalism. While only two classes, I feel as if I have done more reading than in my previous semester with four classes! At the same time, I feel I have learned an incredible amount. I have been exposed to so many differing points of view and information about our class subjects. It has really been helping me develop informed opinions on the subjects.

With that, I’m off to prepare for the trip! Not only am I excited about leaving for Oxford, I am excited about sharing my experience with you!
